What we did

UX/UI design  •  prototype

Overview

Vivint Smart Homes wanted to let everyone know the amazing things its organization Vivint Gives Back is doing for families with children with intellectual disabilities. The existing website was vague and left visitors confused about how the organization helps these families. We redesigned the site to be more interactive and engaging, allowing visitors to leave with an understanding of how Vivint Gives Back could help them or a family that they know.

Interactive knowledge

One of the main things that we felt was missing in the original site was that all of the content felt static and stale. The user would leave wondering exactly how a smart home was connected to making things safe for a child with an intellectual disability.

actions speak louder than words

We wanted the user to have a specific action she could take on each page of the site, whether it was donating to the organization, registering as a volunteer, referring a friend, or signing up for a consultation.
