Because this Australian bank did not have an internal design discipline they needed an external product design team to visualize a new banking product for their bankers. With a cross-functional team of bank employees and business consultants we were challenged to co-design a way to help qualified small business clients efficiently obtain loans.
Interviews with clients, agents and executives revealed the following loan application pain points:
• Bankers manually fill out up to 10 documents
• Client information found in multiple locations
• Over 30 days for loan approvals
CENTRALIZED CLIENT DETAILS
We centralized all client data and displayed it through data-visualization for quick legibility and to support client conversations while mobile and away from the bank.
Auto-identified clients who were qualified for an additional borrowing so they could easily obtain loans without needing to go through a lengthy application process
Created application status indicators so bankers could easily update their clients on when loans could be expected.
